Introduction

Meet Renzo

For Renzo, working with the body is about much more than building strength, improving mobility or releasing tension. It is a way of becoming more present, more connected and more at home in yourself.

His path to fitness and bodywork has not been a straight one.

Before working professionally with the body, Renzo spent many years in creative fields, as an author, filmmaker, musician and lecturer. Creativity, curiosity and the desire to understand the human experience have always been recurring themes in his life.

Eventually, his own life journey brought the body into the centre of that exploration.

Training became more than exercise. It became a way of reconnecting with himself, physically, mentally and emotionally. His growing fascination with the body led him deeper into personal training, massage and bodywork, and gradually into exploring the relationship between movement, touch, breath and conscious presence.

Today, these experiences form the foundation of Conscious Fitness & Bodywork.

01

Two paths - One Philosophy

A focused embodied practice combining movement and awareness

Fitness and bodywork can appear to be two very different practices. Renzo sees them as two paths into the same landscape. One explores the body through movement, strength and active participation. The other through touch, receiving, relaxation and letting go. Both can become practices of awareness. Both can help us become more present in our bodies. And both are part of Renzo's continuing exploration of what it means to live more consciously through the body. Renzo works with individuals, couples and groups through personal training, massage and bodywork, workshops, retreats and courses. The body is not only something we train or treat. It is something we can learn to listen to, inhabit and experience more deeply.

Approach to fitness

As a personal trainer, Renzo combines traditional strength training and knowledge of the body with a more conscious approach to movement. Fitness does not have to be only about performance, numbers or appearance. Training can also become a practice of awareness, learning to feel the body, understand its signals and experience the connection between movement, breath and mind. The goal is not simply to create a stronger body, but to develop a deeper relationship with it.

Approach to bodywork

Renzo applying focused massage and bodywork with his hands

Renzo approaches massage and bodywork with the same curiosity. Rather than following one fixed method, he draws from different massage techniques and ways of working with the body. A session can move between deep physical work and softer touch, movement and stillness, depending on the person and what is needed in the moment. Central to his work is presence: listening not only with the mind, but through the hands. Massage then becomes more than working with muscles and tension. It can become an opportunity to slow down, receive and reconnect with the body on a deeper level.

I couldn't recommend body work with Renzo highly enough - he is an absolute master. I've had the good fortune to have multiple massages over the last couple of years and every time left the treatment space recalibrated and so deeply relaxed. It may sound cheesy, but he really is world class. A kind and very conscious human - you'll be in very safe hands.
